Learn moreOur Process
Every wheel goes through the same five-stage process — refined over twelve years to deliver a finish that lasts.
Bring your wheels in or send us photos. We'll inspect for buckles, cracks, kerb damage and lacquer condition, then quote on the spot — no obligation.
Tyres are removed, wheels are chemically stripped back to bare alloy, and any structural work — welding, straightening, crack repair — is completed first.
Wheels are blasted, primed and finished in your chosen colour using premium German paints, powder coat, or precision CNC diamond cut.
Two-pack lacquer is applied and oven-cured for a hard-wearing, factory-grade finish that resists brake dust, salt, and UV fade.
Tyres are refitted, wheels are balanced, and we give everything a final inspection before you collect — usually within 2-3 working days.
Why Choose Us
We've built our reputation on doing the job right, every time. No shortcuts, no compromises — just precision craftsmanship using the best materials available.

About South West Alloys
South West Alloys has been refurbishing wheels in Exeter for over twelve years. What started as a small workshop has grown into one of Devon's most trusted alloy specialists — handling everything from single kerb repairs to full sets of OEM diamond cut restorations for trade and retail customers across the South West.
Our Marsh Barton workshop runs the latest CNC lathe, hydraulic straightening rig, and powder coat oven, paired with premium German paints and lacquers chosen specifically for durability in Devon's coastal and rural conditions. We work on everything from family hatchbacks to performance and prestige cars, and we treat every wheel the same way — properly.
Customer Reviews
Local Expertise
Devon's roads are hard on alloys. The narrow lanes around Crediton and Cullompton, the kerb-tight parking through central Exeter, and the potholes that appear every winter on the A38 and A380 all take a toll. We see the same damage patterns week after week — kerb rash from tight city parking, buckled rims from unseen potholes near Newton Abbot, and faded lacquer on diamond cut wheels exposed to coastal salt air around Exmouth and Teignmouth.
That local knowledge matters. We know which finishes hold up to South Devon weather, which OEM wheels need diamond cut restoration on a CNC lathe versus a standard refurbishment, and how to handle the split-rim and multi-piece wheels common on premium German cars across the South West. From daily drivers in Marsh Barton to performance cars in Torquay and Paignton, every wheel that comes through our workshop gets the same careful assessment before any work begins.
We've spent over a decade refining our process specifically for the cars and conditions you'll find around Exeter and the wider Devon area. Whether you've caught a kerb on the school run, hit a pothole on the way to work, or simply want your wheels looking sharp again before a sale, we'll give you an honest opinion and a fair price — no upsells, no surprises.
Service Areas
Based in Marsh Barton, our workshop is easy to reach from anywhere in Exeter, South Devon and the wider South West. Whether you're popping in from town or driving down from Cullompton, you'll find off-street parking, a same-day quote, and an honest assessment of what your wheels actually need. Customers across all nine of our core service areas come to us for one reason — consistent, workshop-quality results without the dealer price tag.

Diamond cut and painted finishes restored for Paignton drivers, with collection options for fleet and trade work.
Coastal lacquer fade and kerb damage are the most common issues we fix for Exmouth customers.
Easy run up the A379 to our workshop — a trusted choice for full refurbishment and powder coating.

Rural lanes and pothole damage make Crediton one of our most regular service areas for straightening and welding.
